COLLABORATION WITH MICHAEL VALENTI CREATES ICONIC ART CELEBRATING DONNELLY'S PASSION FOR CYCLING
The role of an artist, at least in the case of Michael Valenti, is to create images that become a part of the brand's story and history. Images that will hopefully contribute to a brands legacy. We think he nailed it.
This amazing art represents many hours of conversation and collaboration with Michael. Many of the elements that exist throughout the work are relevant to the Donnelly story - the shape of the mountains, where our logo draws inspiration from. The cows in the fields on the gravel image, all a part of the experiences we've shared with athletes, friends and customers. And of course the fans at a cyclocross event where, for Donnelly, it all began.
If you know our company founder Donn Kellogg, you would know how important his dog Montana was to him, a brand mascot of sort who recently passed away. Montana now lives on in this work, and will forever be an inseparable part of the Donnelly story.
